Judging Critique

"I will be grateful if you will convey to your Committee my sincere thanks for being invited to Judge at your Show and for the courtesy and hospitality extended to me on the day.

I found the Show to be very well organised in a very relaxed atmosphere. I was pleased with my entry and with my final placings and awards who all won on merit. I wish your Club continued success in the future."

MINOR PUPPY DOG (1 entries, 0 absent).

1st Leigh's TINGTING ATOMIC ROOSTER, 8 month bl/r tall, strong well boned dog. Correct front & rear angulations. Shown in good condition, good head planes, deep well sprung ribs. Powerful mover who needs to settle in the ring and work in tandem with handler.

PUPPY DOG (3 entries, 0 absent).

1st Richardson's SHARHYSTE DARK REFLECTION AT JASPRICO, 9 month bl/r, elegant dog presented a square profile, correct angles, short back with a gently sloping topline held well on the move. Head in proportion to body with a soft expression. Stood well on tight feet, ample forechest. A good mover, moved with purpose and very well shown by his experienced handler. BPD & BPIS.

2nd Hallows IZRALIGHT DIZZEE RASCALE, 9 month bl/r, well set body, square and shorter than 1. Strong head adequate forechest and nicely developing forequarters. Muscular hindquarters. Plenty of drive on the move, handler had to work hard to keep him standing still.

JUNIOR DOG (2 entries, 0 absent).

1st Lainchbury's ASHLAIN MAKRIAMMOS, 14 months bl/r, standard sized muscular dog. Very square with a short back and firm straight topline. Correct wedge faced head with a very alert expression. Deep ribs well developed forechest. Correct front and rear angulation with powerful hindquarters and well bent stifle. Balanced movement with plenty of reach in forequarters. Handler runs the dog to close to his body which detracts from his profile on the move but still pushed hard for RBD.

2nd Preston's AMAZON DESERT STORM, 14 month bl/r, taller than 1 and longer in the body. Moved well with his back remaining strong and firm on the move. When standing handler needs to keep his head up and focused.

1st Roach & Forrest's OTTIA MUNGO JERRY, 18 months bl/r, square in profile, short neck with a strong sloping topline. Correct parallel forequarters, well developed forechest and muscular hindquarters. Plenty of turn of stifle. Stood well on compact feet. Balanced movement, strong rear drive and well handled.

2nd Brown's FREELANCE COLLATERAL, 14 Months bl/r, much taller than 1 unfortunately handler did not wait for a critique.

POST GRADUATE DOG (2 entries, 0 absent).

1st Goodban's AMAZON EL CID WITH KELJAYGO, 2yr old bl/r, strong well boned medium sized dog. Presented in excellent condition, very alert and on his toes. Clean cut head very watchful expression. Correct front and rear angulations, well developed forechest, short firm back with a strong straight sloping topline. Deep chest and ribs with a well turned stifle. Stood like a statue focused on his handler at all times. Powered his way round the ring, balanced with strong rear drive. Competently handled and shown to perfection. BD & BIS.

2nd Done's DOBEDONE KEILDERD HAWK, 3yr old br/r, shown in hard condition very muscular and well toned. Smooth coat in excellent condition. Powerful strong dog with correct front and rear angulations. Ample Forechest and well sprung ribs with good turn of stifle. Very powerful mover plenty of drive spoilt by dog and handler not working together on the move.

LIMIT DOG (4 entries, 1 absent).

1st Pollard's AMAZON ELDORADO AT WHIZZBEAN, 2yr old bl/r, strong very masculine medium sized dog square in outline. Correct angulations, Head nicely proportioned, soft expression, short neck firm back. Well developed forechest deep ribs and plenty of tuck up. Stood firm on parallel front and rear legs and very well presented. Balanced mover with back remaining firm on the move. Glided round the ring, well handled.

2nd Wakefield's AMAZON BON JOVI AT ARAHNI, 5yr old bl/r, very different type to 1. Correct head planes with a soft expression. Strong sloping topline, adequate forechest, presented in good condition moved round the ring with ease, good reach in the forequarters and well handled.

3rd Wilcox's AMAZON NADAL.

1st Creme's CH. IZRALIGHT NEW YEAR DREAM, 5yr old bl/r, strong boned medium sized dog square in outline and very alert. Clean wedge shaped head with good depth of muzzle. Well angulated fore and hind quarters with well bent stifle, strong forechest, with a firm sloping topline. Moved with purpose around the ring, strong driving motion with legs remaining straight. RBD.

2nd Evan's CH. AMAZON EL TORRO, 2yr old bl/r, similar to 1, shown in excellent condition. Medium sized dog with very good muscle tone. Strong front, well angulated, deep well sprung ribs. Nice short neck in proportion to body with a short firm back. Handler did not get the best out of the dog on the move.
3rd Griffith's LUX. CH. AMIOUS RUFF DIAMOND.

VETERAN DOG (2 entries, 1 absent).

1st Richardson's CH. PURROMA DARK IMPRESSIONS, 7yr old bl/r, all male and on his toes. Presented in excellent condition, square in outline and elegant in appearance, ample forechest with deep ribs. Correct front and rear angulations with a well turned stifle. Moved round the ring like a train and almost ran away with the handler. Dog very fit for age. BVD.

MINOR PUPPY BITCH (4 entries, 1 absent).

1st Wilcox's AMAZON TEASE ME PLEASE ME, 8 months br/r, very feminine, dark brown coat in excellent condition. Quality head with a very soft expression. Still developing but all in proportion, medium sized with a short firm back and gentle sloping topline. Adequate forechest, correct front and rear angulations and a well bent stifle. Moved very well, free and balanced. This young lady looks to have a bright future!

2nd Knight's NEARCTIC SISTER OF THE WATER, 8 months br/r, shorter than 1 and wider head planes whilst still very feminine. Soft facial expression. Nice dark brown colour. Good muscle tone and strong boned. Well developed hindquarters with good rear angulation. Moved very well.

3rd Jackson's TURLABRED IZZY.

PUPPY BITCH (3 entries, 0 absent).

1st Graham's SHARHYSTE DARK MS DEMONIC, 9 months, bl/r, square in outline and very feminine. Correct front and rear angulations, short neck and strong firm back in proportion to body. Correct gentle sloping topline. Nicely developing forechest with deep sprung ribs and well turned stifle. Coat in excellent condition with nice clear markings. Free mover with plenty of drive, stood like a rock for handler and well handled. BPB & RBPIS.

2nd Hallow's IZRALIGHT QUEEN LATIFAH, 9 months bl/r, shorter than 1 and a heavier type whilst remaining elegant and feminine. Very watchful expression. Correct angulations at fore and hindquarters. Short neck with a strong topline. Stood well on compact feet. Movement was o.k. however I am sure she would have looked better moving faster.

3rd TURLABRED IZZY.

JUNIOR BITCH (1 entries, 0 absent).

1st Lainchbury's ASHLAIN KAZAVITI, 14 months bl/r, eye catching from the moment she walked into the ring, shown in top condition and still not reached full maturity. Strong and muscular whilst retaining all her feminine elegance. Regal wedge shaped head, bright and alert expression, with dark oval eyes. Short neck, firm back with a strong flowing topline. Well developed forechest, ample spring of rib with a well turned stifle. Stood firm on well angulated, parallel legs and tight feet. Absolutely powered around the ring, lots of reach in the front and driving power in the rear quarters. One of the best movers of the day. Expertly handled and no hesitation awarding BB and RBIS.

YEARLING BITCH (1 entries, 0 absent).

1st Meredith's SUPETA'S GRETA GARBO, 21 months bl/r, Feminine head with neat set ears and an alert expression. Good muscle tone and shown in hard condition. Presented a square outline with a strong sloping topline. Ample forechest, correct front and well developed rear angulations. Stood firm on compact feet. Moved well, plenty of drive with her back remaining firm on the move.

1st Pittendrigh's AMAZON ICE COLD IN ALICE FOR TOMAR, 20 months bl/r, medium sized feminine bitch with good muscle tone. Correct wedge shaped head, good head planes and a watchful expression. Square body with deep well sprung ribs. Long well developed hindquarters. Moved well with strong rear drive.

POST GRADUATE BITCH (3 entries, 0 absent).

1st Evans, Thompson, Stirling & Cross's AMAZON STORMY ROMANCE, 14 months bl/r, very showy eye catching young lady presented in top condition. Clear sharp markings. Quality feminine head with a soft pleasing expression. Square, elegant with a short back and strong topline. Correct angulations on fore and hindquarters, stood proud. Well developed forechest, well sprung ribs with a good turn of stifle. Moved well, free and balanced. RBB.

2nd Sanderson's JODASEEN HONEY RYDER, 18 months bl/r, different type to 1 longer in the body. Pleasing clean cut feminine head, short neck with a strong sloping topline. Correct angulations, adequate forechest and ribs. Stood well on arched feet and gave the appearance of a well set body. Moved with ease and balance.

3rd Wedgbury's DEMORGOTHICAL'S ALLURE.

LIMIT BITCH (5 entries, 1 absent).

1st Gethin's ABOVO RAY OF LIGHT, 4yrs bl/r, very showy and elegant bitch. Feminine wedge shaped head with correct almond shaped eyes, lean neck with a strong flowing topline. Correct forequarters and strong parallel hindquarters. Adequate forechest and ribs with a well bent stifle. Stood like a rock presenting a very square profile. Excellent mover glided round the ring with her handler, free and balanced with plenty of drive.

2nd Pollard's OTHERTON MAYBE HOT AT WHIZZBEAN, 3yrs bl/r, heavier type than 1 whilst remaining elegant and square. Feminine head with a good depth of muzzle and dark oval eyes. Excellent muscle tone and strong boned. Plenty of forechest with deep sprung ribs. Well presented and handled, moved with purpose.

3rd Goodban's AMAZON SWEET 'N' SASSY WITH KELJAYGO.

OPEN BITCH (3 entries, 2 absent).

1st Creme & Parson's CH. IZRALIGHT NEW YEAR WISHES, 5yrs bl/r, shown in prime condition. Medium sized and square with a soft feminine head and gentle expression. Short back with a strong straight top line, deep sprung ribs and ample forechest. Correct angulations with well developed hindquarters. Firm overall muscle tone and stood solid on well arched feet. Moved with ease plenty of reach and drive with a strong firm back.

VETERAN BITCH (6 entries, 3 absent).

1st Griffiths LUX. CH. JOKAMILLY SCHIMEEL AT AMIOUS, 7yrs br/r, a strong class of veterans but she caught my eye. Presented in fabulous condition with a smooth dark brown coat and sharp markings. Very muscular but still elegant and feminine in appearance. Classic head perfect length and depth of muzzle, dark brown eyes and a soft expression. Well developed forechest, correct angulations in fore and hindquarters. Deep well sprung ribs with adequate tuck up. Powered her way around the ring with ease and purpose. A credit to her handler. BVB and it gave me great pleasure to award her BVIS.

2nd Gethin's ABOVO PAST MIDNIGHT, 10yrs bl/r, I first had the pleasure of judging her when she was 16 months old and many of the qualities then are still with her at 10 years old! Very feminine classic head and full of expression. Presented in excellent condition and a credit still to her owner. Good angulations, gentle sloping topline. Ample forechest and good muscle tone. Expertly handled she drove round the ring with ease, still with plenty of reach in her forequarters and strong rear drive. As they say seeing is believing!

3rd Parson's OTTIA CHARLOCK, 10 yrs old.
